Carmelo Anthony may still be waiting for an NBA team to call and offer him a roster spot but he’s making the most of his time off, as a recent video shows the 10-time All-Star teaching his 12-year-old Kiyan a few of his signature basketball moves

And while most kids that may roll their eyes when their dad tries to teach them anything, we’re guessing it’s a bit different when your dad is one of the most prolific scorers in NBA history.

The video, which already has over half a million views in less than a week, shows Carmelo doing his patented pull-up and shoot, which Kiyan then imitates to near perfection, even nailing the long 2-point shot. Carmelo then teaches Kyan how to spin away from a defender when driving to the hoop, which Kiyan once again pulls off with ease.

Over the course of the video, Carmelo reaches deep into his bag of tricks, teaching his son how to finger roll at the rim, slightly hesitate to throw off a defender, and even finish through contact. And Kiyan makes his old man proud by nailing each move thrown his way.

Could Kiyan end up playing with Bronny James and Zaire Wade to form the greatest next-gen superteam ever assembled? Unfortunately, not yet, as he is too young to be on their high school team at Sierra Canyon School. However, he could possibly team up with LeBron’s 11-year-old son Bryce, who has already shown his sweet shooting skills multiple times.
